Sunflowers like to be planted where they will be in full sunlight all day. Plant them 5cms deep in fertile soil that is well- drained. Then cover them in a thick mulch.

Water them once a day or more if the soil dries out. Your sunflower seeds will start to shoot in one to two weeks. If you have planted a giant sunflower then it can grow as high as 3 and half metres or 12 feet.
