Activity Ideas for Free Printable Alphabet Letters

1) COLORING- Coloring in alphabet sheets is a great activity for lower grades.  You can give each student a different style.  When they have finished coloring and cutting out the letters, they can swop some with others to create a mixed style alphabet.

2) SORTING - Print out alphabet sheets with a range of different styles.  Cut the letters out - this only needs to be done simply - squares are fine.  Your students can do this for you.  Then, give each student a random selection of 3 or 4 letters.  Their job is to color the letters and then glue them on to a class poster (you will need one for each letter), in a class alphabet book, or on a letter page in their workbook.

3) MISSING LETTERS  - Before you photocopy a class set, white out 4 or 5 letters.  Students then need to  add the missing letters and color in the alphabet.

4) GROUP POSTER  - Blow an alphabet sheet up to A3 size.  Get small groups of students to work together on one sheet.  It's fun if you make it a light hearted competition with a small prize for the winning group.

5) ALPHABET TREE- Students draw a large tree on A3 art paper.  A two line trunk and cloud shaped top is simple to do and works fine.  Students then glue colored letters to the tree to create an alphabet tree.

6) IT'S RAINING LETTERS  - Students draw a large cloud on the top half of an A3 art paper page.  It is fun if they draw a picture of themself and some friends underneath the cloud. They then color and cut out alphabet letters.  These are glued on to the picture to make alphabet rain.

7) POSTER WORK  - Upper grade students love to experiment with letter shapes.  Tape several samples of alphabet styles around a working station.  When students are working on a poster or project they can copy the letters or draw inspiration from them.

8) TRACING  - Laminate A4 or A3 alphabet sets so that students can trace the letters. These make a handy classroom resource that can be used for posters, projects, cards and end of term activities.

9) DECORATING - Get your students to color the letters and then use them to decorate books, class storage boxes and art supply tins.

10) WORD CHALLENGE  - Each student is given an alphabet sheet and asked to color in their letters.  The students then work in small groups to construct words out of the groups combined letters.  It looks wonderful if the words they make are glued onto colored A3 paper.  Groups can be challenged to make the most words and the longest word.

Do you want to make your own website?

Do you want to learn how to make your own website, have it rank highly in the search engines and use it to make money online?ca show you how to do that

SBI can show you how to do all that. They showed me how to make this website and it is going from strength to strength.

How did you learn to make this website and do you earn money from it?

I learnt to make this website by following SBI's simple and practical step by step instructions.

They showed me how to use keywords and real content to create a website that would rank highly in search engines and create an income.

After teaching during the day, I worked on this website at night.

I know that at times my family thought I was crazy and worried that I was chasing a pipe dream.

More than once they headed off to bed shaking their heads while I stayed up late studying and typing away.

In the end,  it was all worth it.

The SBI system worked for me and I now receive more than 25 000 visitors a month (more than  35 000 in October) and yes I earn money through Google ads and affiliate marketing, whether I am working on my site or not.

This is only the beginning!

I am now working on the next stage of my big plan - create and sell worksheet ebooks.

SBI has a huge resource centre where I can learn what I need to do next and a friendly and passionate forum community so I am not doing it alone.

I still have a lot of work to do but I know that by following SBI's steps that I will succeed at this as well.
